Homemade Canning 2011

Dave and I spent our summer gardening and then water-bath canning and juicing our produce this year. After canning season was over, we counted up our produce. 

How many quarts did Dave and Keshia can? Well, from the pictures... what would you guess? These are our new Gorilla Racks to keep our food storage in our second bedroom. :)


We did... drum roll please....

51 quarts of green salsa
26.5 quarts of pickled cucumbers
13.5 quarts of pickled zucchini
24.5 quarts of yellow plums
55 quarts of peaches
14.25 quarts of tomato sauce
19.5 quarts of tomato juice
26 quarts of concord grape juice
24 quarts of white grape juice
29 quarts of pear juice
4 quarts of pickled peppers
7 quarts of diced tomatoes
8 quarts of applebutter
6 quarts of apple juice
7.5 quarts of pearbutter

For a grand total of... 315.75 quarts!
